Education Qualification: Bachelor in computer science or Master in Computer science or equivalent.

Skill/Experience Requirements and Responsibilities:

My SQL:

	10+ years experience with relational database systems.
	4+ years of hands-on experience as a MySQL DBA strong and current knowledge of all aspects of MySQL 4.1, 5.0, 5.1, and InnoDB.
	2+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA in a high traffic, transactional environment.
	Previous experience designing, developing, tuning, optimizing, deploying and updating MySQL instances in a high volume environment with critical 100% uptime requirements.
	Must have strong understanding of performance optimization at query, schema, service, OS, and hardware level.
	Ability to script in a high level scripting language (Perl and bash are preferred).
	Strong knowledge of storage technologies with Linux: RAID, NFS, SAN etc.
	Proficient in tuning MySQL processes and queries.
	Experience in administration of InnoDB.
	Proficient in MySQL Replication - Master-Slave and Master-Master replication.
	Exceptional problem-solving expertise and attention to detail.
	Schema design and optimization of MySQL SQL queries.
	Experience with Linux HA cluster is a plus.
	Experience with Data Sharing and federated architectures.
	Experience with multi-datacenter MySQL replication.
	Excellent communication skills.

MS SQL Server:

Experience with both MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005, including MS Clustering, Logshipping, Standby, and Disaster Recovery is required.
