NOIDA, September 12: Birlasoft today announced that Michael W. Garber has joined the global IT services company as the President of its US geography.
Equipped with 29 years of experience in the insurance and IT industries, Mr. Garber comes from Cognizant Technology Solutions. Previously, he had founded Gullwing Consulting in 2001 and consulted at many of the top insurance/financial services companies in the United States as well as risk management and technology firms in Europe. Mr. Garber began his work career with MassMutual Financial Group in 1978. He began in the actuarial division but within two years moved to the information technology division.
Birlasoft earns majority of its revenue from US geography as well as from banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) domain. Commenting on the appointment, Birlasoft CEO, Mr. Kamal Mansharamani, said, “Mike’s extensive experience in the IT services/BFSI domain and a proven track record of achieving profitable growth will help Birlasoft meet its aggressive growth plans.” |
