| Arup Gupta joins Birlasoft as CEO |

Mr. Arup Gupta joined Birlasoft (India) Ltd, the IT services arm of the $ 1.7-billion C K Birla Group, as its Chief Executive Officer today.
An IT professional with formidable credentials, Mr. Gupta brings with him over 30 years of experience. He has most recently been the President & COO of Polaris Software (2005-09) where he was responsible for all operations, delivery and sales. Mr. Gupta's tenure in the Chennai-based organization witnessed about four-fold improvement in profitability and 2O% annualized year-on-year growth in revenues.
Prior to Polaris, Mr. Gupta had been with TCS since 1979 and was President, North America, in his last assignment there. He was credited with five-fold growth in a five-year time span in the US. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and a long-standing member of the Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE).
Birlasoft has also inducted Mr. Vimal Khanna as new CFO. Mr. Khanna comes with 11 years experience in Aricent, formerly Hughes Software, where he was CFO and on the board of the company. He handled their IPO and several mergers and acquisitions. Before that he was in the manufacturing industry.
